# Tokenomics - $POWER

**$POWER is the token you will recieve for staking Block9 Dogs. ### Staking

$POWER is accumulated by staking BLOCK9 Dogs at a rate of 60 $POWER per day.

### Emission Structure & Total Supply

Our treasury wallet holds 250 million $POWER which has been minted on-chain. The emission schedule will begin with inflation, offering early accumulators the benefit of 50% of the $POWER being distributed during the initial stage of the total emission schedule, before transitioning to deflation.

### Halving's & Distribution Schedule

Halving's slow down the rate of $POWER earned by staking. **There are fixed halving's to align with key supply distribution points:** \
\
\- 50% of $POWER has been distributed - daily staking reward reduces to 30 per day. \
\- 75% of $POWER has been distributed - daily staking reward reduces to 15 per day. \
\- 83% of $POWER has been distributed - daily staking reward reduces to 7.5 per day.

### Deflation by burning $POWER and slowing distribution

The emission schedule will gradually **shift towards deflation**, achieved through halvings and the exchange of your $POWER for rewards.\
\
Exchanged power will be split between burning by Block9 and being held by the project wallet to ensure a staking mechanism that will never run out. \
\
Based on a forecast of 90% staking rate the supply would shift from inflation, to deflation around our first anniversary. This could see a marked increase in value for $POWER.\
\
**Token burning has already begun.** We have been running a number or $POWER auctions through our promotional pre-mint phase. We have already burned over $2,500,000 POWER that have been collected through our BidHub auctions. 🔥
